Accessibility Statement

Scope

This statement applies to the website https://biologon.at.

Compliance Status

The website is largely compliant with the success criteria of WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549.
Some content is not yet fully accessible (see section “Non-accessible Content”).

Measures to Improve Accessibility

• Use of the “Ally” widget (including font size tool, contrast switch, keyboard focus indicators).
• Structured HTML5 markup; ARIA roles for navigation, header, and footer.
• Alt text for all informative images.
• Color contrast ratios of ≥ 4.5:1 or 3:1 (for large text).
• Regular self-testing using an accessibility checker plugin and manual screen reader tests (NVDA and VoiceOver).

Non-accessible Content

• Older PDF documents published before 2024 are not fully accessible (missing tags).
• Some embedded external videos lack subtitles.
• The search function currently does not offer “live region” output for screen readers.

We are working to resolve these issues by December 31, 2025.
